Following on from the successful 2013/14 and 2015/16 Streets Ahead schemes in Waihī East, the Forum announced its latest Streets Ahead project - a $300 Street Front Home Improvement grant - for each home in Waihī East.
In partnership with Waihī East School, the Forum completed a fantastic new playground and free barbecue area for our community. Residents will be able to use the area for picnics, barbecues, birthday parties, social sports and more.
Over 2013/2014 residents in Waihī East were given an $850 grant for a home improvement project of their choice. Projects included fencing, painting, redoing driveways etc. As an alternative residents were also offered a basic starter solar panel package.
