During our Community Hui at the Memorial Hall in June, we showcased potential exercise park designs and received some very insightful feedback on the need for equipment catering to injury recovery and prevention. Specifically, there was a strong emphasis on equipment suitable for older and less-abled residents, focusing on balance, core strengthening, and overall fitness.
In response to your input, we've been discussing ideas with the fabulous Tarsh Munro from Waihī Beach Physiotherapy to explore suitable equipment options and funding avenues. We are in the process of gathering more information and will share the details with you soon. Your recent ideas on this space, like QR codes for instructional support and free classes during the initial weeks, have provided us with great feedback as we plan for this part of the hub.
We've also now partnered with RICH Landscapes to design the entire hub. This strategic approach will ensure that all hub elements will work together cohesively. And we're also actively pursuing further local funding opportunities before submitting our primary funding application in January.
Your ongoing support and input are crucial to the success of this project. Please continue to share your great ideas and suggestions with us 😊
